The stage of “Sing for Greece 2026” also welcomed acclaimed composer and producer Giorgos Theofanous, who has enjoyed numerous successes in Greece and Cyprus and has previously composed entries for the Eurovision Song Contest.
Speaking on stage, Theofanous referred to the evolution of the music competition, highlighting the importance of the connection between music and visual presentation in modern Eurovision — a shift which, as he has recently stated, places greater emphasis on visual performance without undermining the essence of the song itself.
His appearance was one of the standout moments of the evening, bridging the experience of earlier editions of the contest with the contemporary trends that now define the road to Eurovision.
The audience was also thrilled by the guest appearance of Tamta, the innovative artist of the Greek pop scene, who presented an impressive audiovisual performance together with the ERT Contemporary Music Orchestra. With unique interpretive contrasts and a strong Eurovision vibe, her performance became one of the highlights of the night.
The audience was further captivated by Antigoni, the Cypriot representative at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest, who performed her official entry for this year’s competition, “Jalla.”
The next rendezvous is set for the Grand Final on Sunday, when the artist who will represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest in May, in Vienna, at the Wiener Stadthalle, will be selected.
