Eurovision 2026: Vicky Leandros to Perform in the First Semi-Final Alongside Akyla
A strong Greek presence is expected during the first semi-final of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, as alongside Greece’s contestant Akyla, legendary singer Vicky Leandros will also take to the stage at Vienna’s Stadthalle.
The internationally acclaimed Greek singer and songwriter will make a special guest appearance during the first semi-final of Eurovision, set to take place on Tuesday, May 12. During the competition segment of the show, Akyla will perform fourth on stage, while Vicky Leandros will make a triumphant return to the Austrian capital to perform — in a completely new arrangement — one of the contest’s most iconic and timeless songs, “L’amour est bleu,” which she first performed in 1967 at just 15 years old.
In 1972, Vicky Leandros returned to the Eurovision stage with her unforgettable performance of “Après toi,” winning the hearts of millions of viewers with her exceptional voice and remarkable stage presence. Her victory laid the foundations for an international career that continues to this day. With more than 100 million records sold, 466 albums released in eight languages, and countless concerts around the world, Vicky Leandros remains a true Eurovision legend.
