Eurovision 2026: Greece’s First Rehearsal Was Successfully Completed
Akylas performing Ferto for Greece during the First Rehearsal at Wiener Stadthalle, Vienna
Akylas took to the stage of the Stadthalle in Vienna for the first time for the Greek delegation’s first rehearsal at Eurovision, today, Saturday, May 2, 2026. Greece’s representative performed “Ferto” with his trademark energy, in a presentation bearing the signature of creative director Fokas Evangelinos.
On the Eurovision stage, within a video game setting and in a humorous yet dynamic way, Akylas encounters four characters (Parthena Chorozidou, Christos Nikolaou, Michalis Michaelidis and Konstantinos Makrypidis). Then, in a break from the act, Greece’s representative steps out of character, removes his glasses and addresses his mother in a deeply emotional moment of the performance.

Greece’s first rehearsal was completed successfully, with the result meeting the delegation’s expectations.
The creative team behind the stage performance consists of: Christos Magnanas (video artist), Giannis Mourikis (set designer), Giorgos Tellos (light designer), Filippos Missas (costume designer for Akylas) and Giorgos Segredakis (costume designer for the four characters).
The Greek delegation’s second technical rehearsal will take place on Wednesday, May 6.
