Fokas Evangelinos studied at the National School of Dance.
He began his career as a choreographer in 1991 and, ever since, he has choreographed several plays and has worked with the greatest directors of the Greek theatre.
He founded his own school in 1996. The School is a recognized member of the English Academy of London and, every two years, the students of the School are giving a charity performance.
He has been teaching at the Higher School of Dramatic Art of the National Theatre since 2002. In 2005, the Study and Research Center for the Greek Theatre awarded him with the “Koula Pratsika” dance prize for the choreographies of two projects of the National Theatre.
During the course of these years and up to now, he has directed and choreographed plays and musicals at the National Theatre, the Athens Epidaurus Festival, the National Opera, the National Theatre of Northern Greece, the Free Theatre, the cinema, TV show, music awards, dance ensembles, TV series and video clips.
In 2005 he participated in the Eurovision Song Contest with the delegation which brought Greece in the first place, and was the creative director of the contest hosted in Athens in 2006.
He has directed the songs of numerous foreign artists that participated in the Eurovision Song Contest representing Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Azerbaijan and winning some of the first places .
In 2011, as the creative director, he was the inspiration behind the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Special Olympics World Games ATHENS 2011, as well as the ceremony for the lighting of the Olympic flame for the KOREA World Games of 2013 and the ANTWERP 2014 European Games.
In 2013 he took over the artistic organization of the Revival of the First Modern Olympic Games for the National Olympic Academy and in 2014 the «Olympic Education Day» under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and the Olympic Committee in the “Kallimarmaron” Stadium.
In 2015 and 2016 he directed the ritual torch lighting event of the 33rd and 34th Original Marathon, at the Tomb of Marathon. In 2014 he directed the play “12 minutes to 12” by Eugene Trivizas at the Athens Concert Hall for the Educational Society. In 2015 he directed the musical play «Chorus» by Christophe Barratier in the Onassis Foundation and, in 2016, the musical performance «We are a good generation,» in poetry set to music by Stratis Paschalis, also at the Athens Concert Hall.
